Cher Auction:
Cher is redecorating and updating her house from neo-gothic. Her garage
sale becomes an auction at Julien's Auction House. Included with the
furniture and arts will be what we totally love... Bob Mackie dresses from
the Sonny & Cher Show!!!!!
There's a huge auction catalog
and even a hard copy edition signed by Cher. As of yet, there aren't many
pictures on line.

Annual Baggins' Birthday Picnic
Open to any & all Lord Of the Rings fans
Bring your favorite LOTR games, fan art or acoustic musical
instruments, a blanket to spread out, and enjoy an afternoon of food and
fellowship with fellow LOTR fans. TORn usually has a few LOTR-themed games
planned, and a costume contest with small prizes, so costumes are definitely
encouraged!
Food: Pot-luck; please bring some picnic food to share (a bucket of fried
chicken, sandwiches, potato salad, cole slaw, fruit, veggies & dip, etc.) or
soft-drinks,
ice, a cooler, desserts, etc. Alcohol is not permitted in the Park.

Forever."

Come to San Diego for a week of total immersion in the romance and rhythm of
the 19th and early 20th Century dance world. Enjoy a week of classes
interspersed with music, lectures, period activities and fabulous formal balls
nearly every night. Early, mid and late 19th Century dances such as waltz,
mazurka, galop, redowa and schottische, as well as quadrilles & set dances, will
be offered. Ragtime era tango, one-step and other popular dances will also be
offered, plus dances of the 1920s and 1930s: swing, foxtrot and more. This year
there will be a special mini-series focusing on dance crazes such the Polkamania
of the 1840s and the Charleston of the 1920s. Brought to you by the San Diego Vintage Dancers.

animatronics from puppets to electronic circuits. The exhibit includes
models, maquettes, and actual creatures as well as videos of these in action,
concept drawings, storyboards and workshop photographs.

"Showing from July 10 through September 9, 2006 will be
the first ever exhibition saluting The Outstanding Art of Television Costume
Design. The 2005-2006 Emmy nominations for Costume Design will be on
display, along with over 100 other costumes celebrating 40 years of
television from 1966-2006."
